Director

Ari founded SCI Attorneys in 2021 after more than three decades at a top-tier, independent, mid-sized South African law firm, where he led the employment law department. He holds a BA.LLB from WITS and was admitted as an attorney in 1987. A recognised expert in employment law, Ari brings deep experience in litigation, mediation, and dispute resolution, consistently delivering strategic outcomes through his extensive legal insight and client-focused approach.

NINA ROBERTSON
Associate

Nina joined SCI Attorneys in January 2022. She holds an LLB (Hons) from the University of Pretoria and has completed advanced company law training through the Mandela Institute at Wits. A commercial and labour law specialist, Nina excels in dispute resolution, arbitration, and litigation, consistently delivering strong outcomes through her intuitive client insight and interpersonal skills.

SHILKA MAHARAJ
Junior Associate

Shilka joined SCI Attorneys in March 2022 and was admitted as an attorney in May 2025. She holds an LLB from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and a BCom degree. A commercial and labour law practitioner, Shilka is known for her meticulous drafting, attention to detail, and strong grasp of court processes. She consistently delivers tailored legal solutions through her excellent client engagement and professional insight.

LAURIEN BIELDT
Legal Administrator & Firm Accountant

Laurien brings several years of dedicated legal support experience to the team, combining strong organizational skills with a deep understanding of compliance requirements. She oversees financial transactions with precision, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards. Her meticulous attention to detail guarantees that all financial records are maintained with integrity, supporting both operational efficiency and legal compliance. MBALI NGOBESE
Candidate Attorney

Mbali joined SCI Attorneys in 2024 to begin her legal career. She holds a BA from Rhodes University and an LLB from UNISA, where she earned 14 distinctions and received the Unisa Council Bursary. She is currently completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Corporate Law at Wits. A recipient of the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation Scholarship, Mbali is outspoken and grounded in her beliefs, bringing conviction and integrity to the firm’s culture.

MENELISI DLAMINI
Candidate Attorney

Menelisi joined SCI Attorneys in mid-2024 to commence his articles. He holds an LLB from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, where he earned multiple academic awards and commendations. Thoughtful and quietly dedicated, Menelisi brings a strong commitment to justice and a growing presence within the team.
